Privacy Policy

Last updated 8 November 2026

Pine is a personal AI assistant that remembers what you tell it. This page explains what we store, who processes it, and the control you have. We have tried to keep it plain and short.

Pine is operated by Nawab Ali, an individual (sole proprietor) based in Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan (“we”). This policy applies to the Pine website (https://pine-memory.vercel.app) and the Pine mobile app, and is effective 8 November 2026.

What we collect

  • Account: your email address, a name if you give one, and either a hashed password (we never store your password itself) or, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the identity that provider gives us (its user id and verified email, which may be an Apple private-relay address).
  • Conversations: the messages you send and the replies Pine generates.
  • Memories and tasks: facts, people, preferences, goals and to-dos that Pine extracts from your conversations, and reminders attached to tasks. Because you choose what to tell Pine, these can include sensitive details such as health, relationships or finances. Share only what you are comfortable with. You can see, edit and delete every one.
  • Time zone: so due dates and reminders land at the right local time.
  • Usage counts: how many messages you have sent this month (to apply your plan’s limit) and the size and cost of the model calls made for you. These records do not contain what you wrote.
  • Billing status: whether you have a paid plan, and the member and membership identifiers from Whop, the plan you bought and when the current period ends. We do not see or store your card number. Inside the mobile app Pine only shows your plan and message limit.

How we use it

We use your data to run Pine: to answer you, to remember what you ask us to remember, to send the reminders and password-reset emails you request, and to charge for paid plans. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not use your conversations for advertising.

Who processes your data

We use a small number of service providers to operate Pine:

  • Anthropic generates Pine’s replies and extracts memories and tasks. The text of your conversation, together with the memories and tasks Pine uses as context, is sent to Anthropic’s API to generate each reply. Anthropic’s API terms and data policy apply to that data, including how long it is kept and whether it is used for training; see Anthropic’s own policies for details.
  • Whop handles payments on the web (checkout, receipts and managing your subscription). Card details go directly to Whop and its payment processors; Pine never sees card numbers.
  • Resend delivers email (reminders, the optional daily digest, and password resets) when email is enabled.
  • Vercel hosts the application (United States).
  • Neon hosts the database where your data is stored (US East).

Because our providers are based in or operate from the United States, your data is transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection rules from your country. Reminders on the mobile app are scheduled on your device and are not sent through a push-notification service.

Cookies

Pine uses one essential cookie to keep you signed in (the session cookie). We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and there is no cookie banner because there is nothing optional to consent to.

Your control: export and delete

In Settings you can download an export of everything Pine holds about you, and you can delete your account. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your account, sign-in links, conversations, messages, memories, tasks and usage records are removed from our database right away and cannot be recovered by us. If you have an active paid subscription, we cancel it with Whop first, effective at the end of the period you have paid for, so it does not renew; if that cancellation fails, your account is not deleted and you can try again. Our database host may keep backups for a limited time under its own policies, and Whop and its payment processors may keep payment records as required by law. You can also turn off reminder and digest emails in Settings or through the unsubscribe link in any email.

Retention

We keep your data until you delete it or delete your account. Login-attempt records used to rate-limit sign-in and password-reset requests are used only for that purpose.

Staff access

The person running Pine has an admin view of accounts. It shows account details (email, plan, how many messages, memories and tasks you have, when reminders were sent, and what your use costs to run), not what you wrote: your conversations, memories and tasks are not shown there. Every admin action on your account is recorded with a reason, and those records are kept for 400 days under a pseudonymous id, even after you delete your account. For maintenance and security the operator can technically reach the database directly; routine operations do not read your content.

Security

Passwords are hashed, sessions are stored as hashes, and traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Age

Pine is for people aged 16 and over. Do not create an account if you are younger.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, tell you by email or in the app.

Contact

Questions or requests about your data: abdulmuqsit10101@gmail.com. The operator is Nawab Ali, Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan. You can also ask us to access, correct or delete your data by email, and if you live somewhere with data-protection rights (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have additional rights, which we will honour on request.
